For one of our Clients – outsourcing company, we are currently looking for Technical Support Engineer, who will cover the highest level of technical pre-sales support.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Pre-sales advice, installation and configuration
- Finding problems’ solutions for the existing and new systems
- Contact with clients during implementation and maintaining of product
- Providing feedback on process and support improvement
- Creating and implementing projects’ solutions being offered
Requirements:
- Fluent English and Czech
- Routing, VoIP and wireless technology knowledge
- Bachelor degree in engineering or relevant working experience
- Experience in a technical or networking support environment
- Very good knowledge on CCNA or Network + level
- Very good understanding of the Microsoft Office applications
- mobility

ArlenMedia is a small outsourcing company located in Wrocław providing PHP programmers to companies in England and Germany.
Our main client, Openads.org, requires an application developer. Their software is used by over 20,000 websites worldwide. You must have relevant experience working on a professional application (non-website) within a group, or you must have experience leading an advanced project with organized goals and time-critical delivery.
Core skills required for this role include:
* 3+ years web application development experience (within a professional
working environment)
* Relevant application development experience
* Actual delivery experience on projects using php and relational
database systems
* Experience with object oriented analysis, fluent in design patterns,
refactoring and unit testing
* Experience with full life-cycle development
* Experience with client-side development, browser scripting technologies, such as dHTML and Javascript, and session management
* Knowledge of relational databases and MySQL
* Knowledge of developing and running under UNIX / Linux preferred
* Knowledge of the media/advertising industry is not essential but would
be a distinct advantage
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop high availability, business critical enterprise-level applications
* Write high quality code, and adhere to existing development practices,
including following coding conventions, using SVN control tools, and use unit testing as part of the development process
* Enhance and extend, where required, existing applications
* Communicating daily with your project leaders in London over Chat, and be able to meet deadline goals.
* Provide technical support to business units as part of the post-implementation process

Following 12 months of detailed review of Minelab manufacturing in Ireland and Australia,
Codan has decided to cease Minelab’s manufacturing activities in Ireland by December 2009
and to outsource the majority of that activity to Codan’s manufacturing service provider,
Plexus, situated in Penang Malaysia.
The project is expected to save Codan more than $0.5 million per annum in operating costs,
including direct manufacturing costs and overheads. Closure costs, including redundancies,
are expected to approach $1.5 million and will be incurred over the next six months.
Approximately $0.3 million of these costs will be provided for in the Company’s accounts at 30
June 2009.
The Irish facility and staff have served Minelab excellently over many years. This decision is a
strategic one as we outsource to a lower cost manufacturing environment in Asia. The staff
will receive their full redundancy entitlements. We thank all staff in Ireland for their valuable
contribution to Minelab.
Minelab’s Ireland based sales operations, including marketing, finance, customer service and
repair, warehousing and distribution covering Europe, Middle East and Africa are a high
performance part of the Minelab business. These operations will continue in Ireland, although
we will find alternative premises more suitable for them. The Company will commence a
process to dispose of the current manufacturing facilities. Given the current economic
environment we expect this sale process to be reasonably protracted however we expect to
conclude it during the year ended 30 June 2010.
